Hi - I have been prescribed Trazadone for depression, anxiety, stress and insomnia after a brutal 18 months. I've started on a low dose taken at night but am feeling awful - nausea, brain fog, not sleeping at all and acute constipation plus its triggered my IBS. Does anyone have experience of Trazadone? If so, did you experience side effects and was it worth persevering through them? I've previously been on Sertraline for a number of years but didn't like how it took away all emotions so am keen to find something that works. Thank you!

I’ve been on Trazadone for a few years now and find it absolutely amazing- really helps keep my anxiety at a manageable level and I get off to sleep very quickly with it while listening to a bedtime stories podcast. I’m on 50mg which I take before bed - have never had the symptoms you’re describing from it. What dose do you take?

Also 50mg. Do you recall any side effects at the begnning? I'm glad you find it so useful

No, no side effects at all. It helped with sleep almost straightaway and I noticed the anxiety lessening gradually. I’m really sorry you’re having these side effects, they sound horrible.
