Stroke blame

My sister and I live 6000 miles away and don’t have the best relationship. She suffers from health anxiety and after we had an argument on the phone she was admitted to hospital with a ‘stroke’. She blames me for her ‘stroke’. She’s been in hospital many times for various ailments it’s hard to know if this is true or not. Ant seem to get out of her the details of her diagnosis. Only that is my fault. Im deeply hurt by this accusation.

Don't you think she's had a stroke?

If you don't get on, why don't you just go NC.

Think she might have made it up

Think she might have made it up

So why do you keep in contact?

She lives with my parents and has told them she thinks it’s my fault. They believe her

I'd go NC with all of them in that case.

Even if she has genuinely had a stroke. It can’t be my fault can it?

You can't give someone s stroke.....
Yes High blood pressure is a major cause so if that's raised its a problem

No, of course not.
Your parents and your sister are being ridiculous - and manipulative.

What you can say to your parents is something like

If you genuinely believe I'm responsible for her poor health I think it's best if we have no more contact with each other that way I cannot aggravate her "condition" further

And watch them backtrack

My other sister who lives near me has dealt with her in the past on a more regular basis, became a sort of crutch for her during her various ailments and has had to take a step back as it was detrimental to her mental health. And now this stroke thing has knocked us both for six. We’re both reeling from her blaming me and keep wondering how she has manipulated our parents so much to believe this.
