Long term health anxiety sufferer here.

latest bout triggered by a viral infection that lasted 2 weeks and a set of blood tests taken during the second week.

B12 level came back high, I had stopped taking my supplements about 2 wks before the blood test as I was having a crawling feeling in my skin (had this before and resolved by itself). GP marked results as satisfactory .

liver enzymes were also high, treated and they’d come down some by following week. I have known mild fatty liver. GP said routine matter.

fast forward to last night, I was awake and googling until after 2am. Convinced the high B12 means I’m seriously unwell, probably got serious liver disease etc.

I am terrified the GP has missed something and I’m obsessively trying to find something to help myself.

It’s Christmas Eve and I’m ruining everything.

if you read this, thank you.

Hi, I know how you are feeling. I have health anxiety and just anxiety in general, amongst other mental health problems. I have managed time and time again to convince myself I'm ill or dying of something. It's hard because I am utterly convinced of it at the time, but pretty much all tests I've ever had at the doctors or hospital have come back to say I'm healthy and fine, its definitely my mental health! I try and tell myself I'm fine but can't seem to convince my mind of it, it's a real strange thing. I too find myself scrolling online for different health problems I might have and convince myself I have them. One thing I do know though is that I have OCD and have very obsessive thought patterns which go over and over the same thing, like health problems. Maybe you have OCD? I see a strong link myself between the obsessiveness of it and the worry too.
Anyway, I just want you to know you aren't alone. I know how frustrating it is! Exercise and certain supplements can be helpful for anxiety
