So many people in the UK seem to be looking into whether they might have this diagnosis.

A relative has just told us they have this and it's been a big help to know it. But they haven't had a formal diagnosis just done one online.

I know far more people in the USA are diagnosed and that wasn't as well understood in the UK until more recently.

Are some people who think they have the condition mistaken? Is there any data on this?

How can the diagnosis differentiate between a person who has the condition and those whose behaviour matches the broad classic behaviour?

Self identification or an online quiz isn't diagnosis. If someone has been assessed as having adhd by a qualified psychiatrist, then it's pretty likely that they have the condition.

The problem is that waiting lists are so ridiculously long right now that people are attempting to self diagnose.
