noradrenaline - handhold

Two weeks into a new anti depressant that works on noradrenaline
So far it's making me over stimulated, agitated and angry. Great start. This afternoon doctor bumped me up from 25mg to 50mg.
Worried this will send me haywire.
Voiced these concerns to doctor but they said to give it a chance for another two weeks.
Just wanting a handhold through it and somewhere i come for support

Sorry to hear this

I haven't had this class of med but think lots of people here have had it so hopefully this will give your post a bump

I find doctors often with a higher dose than I'm comfortable with. I'm not going to suggest anything that goes against their advice but I have done that myself!

I hope thing settle for you. I’d not heard of the medication surprisingly as I’ve tried most for my MH. I hope it brings you relief x

@EmeraldRoulette @Scutterbug

It is called agomelatine/valdoxan. Tried lots also and don't tolerate the most commonly used AD's. Had never heard if this one before.

Oh I actually asked for that a few years back but it wasn't on the NHS at the time. How are you feeling now?

Paulaspup · 07/12/2024 10:52

@EmeraldRoulette what made you ask for it? Had you heard good reports? Very limited information online about it unlike other meds. Still feeling anxious and irritable. Also overthinking overthinking. Lol. Just not what I was expecting or hoping for.
