I’m shopping for a grounding kit

I likely have PTSD, and I am being referred for an assessment. I just need a few different things, no plastic rubbish, no silly fidget spinners or expensive toys marketed as fidgets. I need something for all the senses. So far I’ve been using blue tac to stretch, and I’m thinking about palm stones. I don’t want to buy an over priced kit full of Poundland items. Does anyone have any ideas of things that have helped them or someone they know?

I also use wheat bags to help calm me
My therapist suggested an aroma therapy/strong scent and sour sweets to help
to use music/comfort shows to help
grounding statements - I am safe, its not happening now, recite the date/year
rubbing arms/legs
tapping therapy. there are different places on your body you can tap to help with different things

I have aromatherapy oils that I put on my pulse points but choose them carefully as some can be strong. I also have visual prompts for mindfulness-type activities to help ground me in the moment.

Hey lovely - I have a cuddly toy, no shame just love cuddling it and it helps like no other. I also have a weighted blanket. Maybe those would help? Yes to palm stones too. Ptsd UK do a set of postcards for £10 which are amazingly and so useful and calming and affirming when triggered. Sending a hug x

I have certain things for just in the privacy of my home, I don’t want to do anything that would draw attention to myself, and I think I would get a lot of negative attention for obviously carrying a toy around

Super sour sweets.
An essential oil. Tea tree, peppermint, maybe a selection.
Something cold, a small metal or stone object.
Self heating hand warmers.
Small squidgy toy, I like stress balls.
