Hi, does anyone have any experience with this drug. I have had sertraline in the past and could not cope. I've only taking escitalopram for a few days and feel like death warmed up. And this is why I always give up on medication. I feel sick stomach is awful head is dizzy. With sertaline I also experienced hair loss which I'm worried will happen again. Is there any antidepressants out there that don't make you feel this way? I don't know how I'll go on.

What dose are you taking , the best way to mimimise side effects at the start is to take the smallest dose possible. I have just started these and have split a 10mg tablet in 4 and taken just 2.5mg. Escitalopram is thought to be one of the fastest acting SSRI drugs , I have also taken sertraline in the past and started at 50mg and really struggled at first this was many years ago and I wasn’t told I could feel worse at first

I've been on 20mg for about 10 years. Works amazingly for me but you need to give it 2 weeks.
