Stopping Fluoxetine

I have recently stopped taking Fluoxetine. I was on 60mg & have been for the past year. I've been saying to the GP for a while now that it's not right/not working & they've said I can't change or increase (as 60mg is the max dose).

Last week, a different GP said we could give something else a go. They've increased my Propranolol which is making a noticeable difference & I'm starting sertraline.

I've been nervously awaiting awful withdrawal symptoms but I'm currently feeling that my mind is clearer than it has been for a long time. I'm more alert, I don't feel numb anymore, I can laugh again.

Is this the calm before the storm? Or was it just numbing everything?

Just wondering what other people's experiences are, coming off such a high dose as right now, I feel remarkably good!

I have been signed off work but I don't want to be. I feel like I could cope with a phased return now (last week, I couldn't even consider returning for a long time).

Is it really this simple? Thanks in advance!
