The lyrics of some songs really resonate. Hello darkness my old friend...

Does anyone listen and think oh yeah, the writers of these melodies have been there.

I think I'm OK ish then hear these lyrics and big downward tumble. As when someone asks if you're ok and you start crying but don't want to. Inwardly barely coping, functioning because you have to.

Sorry I'm rambling. Finally seeking help, not that I'm convinced counselling has any magic cure but am prepared to to do whatever I can to try to change my MH.

Thank you for reading, reaching out I guess. Xx

How long have you felt like this?

I see the songs like that as a help. Knowing that others have felt what I'm feeling is a good thing. Crying isn't a bad thing. Feeling bad isn't a bad thing. Holding on to it is. If the songs make you cry let them. Cry and let out your feelings. Don't keep things bottled up.

If it helps share your pain and sadness here. Or if you need someone to talk to in person try The Samiratans. They just listen and aren't judgemental. Their number is 116 123.
