Panic attacks and anxiety before period

It has finally taken me 3 years to finally realise my anxiety and panic attacks are due to hormones! They started when I was pregnant, still lasted after pregnancy which apparently hormones take many months to regulate, I then had the contraceptive implant fitted which probably then messed up my hormones again, then had it removed so hormones having to change again! Then of course all in between this having periods that were all messed up due to the implant, I am now finally off this and have been tracking my periods religiously and a few days before I get very bad anxiety and panic attacks!

I would love to know who else goes through this and if there is anyway we can regulate our hormones to make this time more easy and more comfortable or is it just about riding the wave for a few days/ a week or so?
Thanks x

I started to get this from around age 40. It's the drop in estrogen and progesterone.

This is all just anecdotal, but these things help me:

Magnesium glycinate helps with anxiety. Also eating more green veg which is a good source of magnesium.
A good quality B vitamin.
Check zinc levels ( oral Zincataste is good for this).
(basically magnesium, b vitamins and zinc for few days before).
Making sure I eat regularly, if I'm hungry I eat more carbs as they have a calming effect, help the body have enough energy for hormone synthesis etc.

For rest of month, I take Vitamin D Better You spray (in UK where sun is limited) and a Multivitamin gummy (more likely to take it when its a gummy). Evening primrose oil, not sure if helps or not but seems to help me stay on an even keel. Enough healthy fats in my diet e.g. nuts, olive oil.

Brisk walk also helps.

Low dose anti depressant can help. I tried the progesterone only pill which made me super calm, but also increased my appetite in an unpleasant way (gnawing never satiated feeling in my stomach) so I stopped that.
