Hi, does anyone have experience coming on & off this drug multiple times over a period of years?

this is my 3rd time going on Sertraline in 5 years. Each time I forgot how it initially makes me feel, but i know it does get better.

my question is can the drug affect you differently each time? Or should it work the exact same as previously?

I’ve come off a couple of times with no issues. When I start it, I don't really get side effects apart from an increase in anxiety for a couple of weeks.

I came off it, took ages. But got side effects again after about 3 months. I eventually went back on it as I needed it.

Thanks. I don’t like the fact I need to go back on it because I think of the long term effects. But when I read about people being on them for 20 years I guess a year or two isn’t so bad
