After many unsuccessful attempts of antidepressants and swearing blind I would never take them again after the side effects were worse than the original problem 😐
The doctor has now suggested one called Agomelatine. Have never heard of it. This was suggested to me months ago and I initially turned it down. I've been trying other methods to help myself, walking and lots more vitamins but mood is low at present.
It was offered today again and I just want to hear other people's experiences on it.
I know everyone is different... Setraline etc work great for some. Not for me. I'm still curious to hear. Also awaiting ADHD testing.

I came back to this thread as I was wondering whether anyone had any experience. I've never heard of it myself and I thought I'd been on every medication possible. It seems to vary so much as to who tolerates what well so it might be worth a try. I've found combinations of meds really helpful to so that might be something to consider down the line.

I was like a zombie.. with the synthetic melatonin in it.
But we are all different..
So what works for one.. might not for another .
I've tried most antidepressants over the years and sertraline suits me.
You won't know until you give it a go.
For about a month until it gets into your system to see effects l was told.. but after a week l felt so so tired.
It's not been approved in some countries.. because it can cause liver problems.

Just come across this when searching for info on side effects. I've been on it for about 8 weeks now, in terms of it treating depression, I'm very happy with it. I'm back to feeling like myself.

Unfortunately first blood tests since starting it showed it might be affecting my liver, redoing bloods in 2 weeks and if the issue is still there I'll have to come off it. My blood pressure is also now high when I've never had an issue before, I'm following that up tomorrow! Apparently you don't have to wean off it, you can just stop taking it so if I do have to come off it, hopefully I can quickly get something new in my system - I don't want to end up back where I was depression wise.

Starting it in next week after I get blood test completed. Nervous but the fact I can come off is easily and no side effects is great.
Thank you for your opinions and reviews. Something has to work......
