Where to get a private ADHD assessment

Just that really and cost is a factor.

I've been through the process (twice) with my children, once NHS and the other privately.

Doing this had made me absolutely certain that I also have ADHD and I do see medication as part of my future if it is confirmed.

I don't want to go to the same clinician as I went to with my daughter.

Can anyone recommend somewhere I can get an online assessment?

🙏🏼

@SweetLatte You could consider visiting Renewed Mental Health Group for your private ADHD assessment. They offer online assessments and have an insurance policy option, which could be helpful if cost is a factor. You might also want to look into therapy sessions with Medard Sisson, a well-known psychiatric nurse practitioner who has received excellent feedback for his work in ADHD and related mental health treatments. This could be a great option if you’re looking for a clinician who is experienced and offers flexible support online.

If you’re in the uk, https://clarusprivatehealth.com/ was excellent in diagnosing and follow up for my dc ADHD.
Assessed and treated by psychiatrist then referred to nhs after a few months.

In case you live in England there's also the Right To Choose pathway which is an still NHS diagnosis & funded via contracted private providers.

If you intend to try medication if diagnosed it can get expensive private and GPs are frequently declining shared care to take over prescribing ADHD meds these days. You'd still need to fund specialist annual reviews or for any adjustments.
