Can a GP prescribe beta-blockers alongside SSRIs?

I've been taking Citalopram for severe anxiety for around a month and I am starting to see positive effects. However, I am still struggling with the physical symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks when I leave the house. These panic attacks aren't related to thoughts at all like they used to be, its just my natural reaction to leaving the house, being around large groups and having to speak to in front of a group of people at work.

I have a medical review in a few weeks. Could I just ask my GP for beta-blockers once I've explained my symptoms? I feel like the combination of both medications could really help me out and improve my issues with being terrified of the outside world

Yes, I take sertraline and propranolol and I think it’s a very common combination. Definitely ask, the beta blockers make a huge difference to my day to day x
