Is it worth sticking with sertraline

Hello

I've been on setraline for 16 days now, and am finding the mornings tough. I went to the doctors yesterday and she said I could quit if I want to - but I'm wondering if it's worth carrying on.

I've gone through what I think is a breakdown, relating to buying a property that has now fallen through. I need to get back on my feet again so that I can move, but I'm not in a good way.

I find I am calm in the evenings, but the mornings I am jittery and anxious.

Thanks

I found it took about three weeks to settle, that first three weeks my anxiety levels were really high. By six weeks I felt so much better!

Yes, it is worth it. My Dd22 had mental health issues related to pressures of uni and was basically "broken".
The doctor suggested sertraline and said it may get worse before it gets better. It did, but after about 10 weeks, my daughter felt so much better. She started enjoying things, started driving lessons even. The sertraline totally smoothed the edges of her anxiety. She says it makes things feel "steady", she no longer catastrophises.
She was put onto a slightly higher dose at one point and had to go through 2 weeks of adjustment. So that is something to watch out for.
