On holidays forgot medication

So I've been on holidays since Thursday and I don't think I have taken my medication since Wednesday before we left. I take 100mg sertraline and elxtroxine 100mcg. I thought I was getting sick but then I realised I hadn't taken my medication. I feel awful :( just wondering how long it will take before I feel okay does anyone know?? Dint want my holiday to be ruined. Have headache and just generally feel crap

If you are in the U.K. on holiday you can register as a temp resident at your nearest surgery in the morning and request a prescription, or contact 111.

If in the UK ring 111 and explain what has happened. They should be able to get the medication to a doctor near where you are holidaying

Sorry I wasn't clear, I have the medication with me just completely forgot to take it which I am so annoyed with myself for because I'm having withdrawals the brain zaps and everything. From anyone else's experience will it take long before I feel better again?

I know trust me I am so annoyed with myself, not to sound like a martyr but I do get so caught up in making sure everyone else has everything and then out of home environment and I just completely forget it! I really hope I feel better tomorrow as I couldn't do much today at all

Yes I've taken it today but I feel horrible still and looking to see if anyone knows how long it will take for medication to kick in and brain zaps disappear....sorry I wasn't clear in my OP, heads all over the place tbh

So glad that you have it with you! I forgot my Escitalopram when I was away recently and I’d say it took two doses to feel completely normal again. I felt somewhat better even after the first one though, give it a few hours. 💐

I'm very sensitive to missing meds. Just make sure you take it 100% same time and also get enough sleep and you should be OK in 24-48 hours of missed dose.

Thank you @PoachesPeaches @BruFord I'm very sensitive too but probably as I was so preoccupied I didn't notice as much then I got the awful brain zaps and knew straight away.

Hope you feel much better soon OP. I have some challenges with taking meds and sometimes only realise I've forgotten when I get brain zaps, weirdly they seem to be most noticeable when I turn my head e.g. of if I look over my shoulder. I haven't heard anyone else make any mention of it, so although im sorry you're struggling, it's helpful to know I'm not alone!

Set an alarm on your phone as a reminder.
