Hey guys, I'm new here so apologies if this isn't in the correct category or if I'm using the site wrong.
Im a lone parent and have been for 2 years, I'm a nurse who works full time Monday-Friday. I can't seem to find the energy or motivation to actually do anything other than desperately try not to fall asleep at weekends. It's starting to make me feel quite low as I feel like I should be enjoying the time with my son, but I just want to be alone to rest. I was wondering if there was anyone who has any tips for me to stay disciplined and actually make plans each weekend so my son doesn't look back at his childhood and remember a grumpy burnt out mum spending most weekends in the house.

thanks in advance x

I get weekend burn out a lot.

A few suggestions - one possibility is having one home weekend a month and three out weekends.

Or structuring it so that Saturdays are out and Sundays are more flexible.

Having something to get up and out for - church, swimming etc.
