I left my Husband of 30yrs due to Domestic abuse and Violence. I left 20mnths ago and have bipolar and Agraphobia but everyone believes my Estranged husband. I had to leave with nothing and building a New Home and finding myself is the Hardest thing I've ever done but everyone blames me for leaving after 30yrs did I fail

You are the exact opposite of a failure. What you've done takes outrageous courage!

unsync · 21/09/2024 19:36

No, of course not. It takes a huge amount of courage to do what you have done and to keep going.

Most people don't really want to know the details of what happened as it can cast a light into their own relationships.

Have you started divorce proceedings yet? Do you have support from Women's Aid?

MumsKnackeredTaxi · 21/09/2024 19:40

No you did the best thing. How are you doing at the moment? Do things feel more settled in your new place?

LipsyL · 22/09/2024 12:01

Thankyou so much UmbrellaEllaEla. Thankyou To All. I'm just doubting myself. I'm struggling to finish my home but I will do it. Haven't started divorce proceedings as can't afford to but no contact is the best X
