My mother has memory problems. After a meeting with the memory nurse I got feedback that it wasn't dementia it was personality traits of being controlling, verbose, vague, maladaptive....I could add, being a liar! Just need to get it out there as my brother, the golden boy has never had a problem with her, I have, and being a parent myself has made me realise how she has literally never been on my side or supportive, I always have to support her. DD asked me what were her good traits, and I literally couldn't think of anything . I feel much better for having written this as in general I find no one wants to know, one friend said I was at risk of sounding bitter when I talked about it.
