I feel ashamed about this but after yesterday I need to accept this is the case for me now as can't have another day like that.

I had a terrible childhood, countless periods of depression, post natal, ante natal, regular for want of a better word but suddenly having anxiety for the first time, and due to what my ex h has done and said, is really hard to take.

I don't know what to do.

No need to feel shame - anxiety is not a disease or something you catch by being inadequate or lacking in some way; it’s an emotion and, like all emotions, it can overwhelm you at times.

As a good starting point have a look at Tim Box’s Ted X “how not to be anxious about anxiety” - it will help you understand why you are feeling the way you do.

Welcome @Overthinker2022 . I am sorry your ex has belittled you but well done for making him your ex! That is a great start.

Hello @Eyesopenwideawake thank you. I was so confused as to why I felt as I did yesterday - it was thought I was having a heart attack and they wanted to send an ambulance - as I had a good day planned and although I felt lonely, I felt okay but the last year has been horrific. I will look at your suggestion. Thank you.
