I've been listening a lot to the comedian John Robins talking about his addiction and mental health, and wondering if there's a mental health buddy system like 12 step (but without the actual programme) for people with MH issues. I'd love to be able to text or call a person in real life when I need encouragement to get outside or move my body or leave the house, etc.
Online stuff can be good but I need to get off my phone and into the world.
Does anyone know of a real-life mutual buddy-type system like this?
