How do you look after your own mental health? Does your job take its toll on this?

Is CBT appropriate for everyone?

I have just gone through a breakup after a 9 year relationship and we have a 1 year old DS. In hindsight I can see I suffered with PND and I was so angry and resentful towards my ex, I regret the seperation so much and want him back but I also know that he despised me during this period and wasn't exactly supportive. How do I get rid of this horrible guilty feeling, I'm blaming myself for everything that's happened and it's eating away at me. I'm now in a new house that doesn't feel like home and have a baby to care for when I'm hurting so much. I'm crying all day everyday atm.

Do you use the CBT method yourself?

PamperGoals2024 · 03/09/2024 21:27

What are the most common 'problems' you see people struggling with?

What top three things work best for most people?

Do you ever get frustrated with clients?

Ps you might want to get this moved to AMA.

What was the route you took to become a CBT therapist? I’m a mental health nurse and this is a direction I’ve been tentatively considering. Thanks
