Recovery from depression

Finally feel like I'm coming up from a very long and quite scary down. My first time really struggling with depression (not my first with anxiety but the two are definitely holding hands firmly this time).

I'm interested to know what recovery looks like for you. I mentioned to my therapist I was to sleep a lot and she said it's my body in recovery mode. Just wondering if there is anything else I could expect to see or feel so I know to go easy on myself when it happens.

I think it's very different from person to person. I don't think there's any any sort of set way it feels really.
I have had two breakdowns where I've then gone on medication etc.
I'm in recovery from the second atm in that I feel a lot better than I did but I'm still mild/moderately depressed.
For me, it's like the opposite of that boiling a frog thing. It happens so gradually I don't really notice. Then when I think back, it's like the really bad depression happened to someone else or it was a bad dream. It's the same the other way, when I'm not on meds I go down and down gradually until I eventually can't remember what it's like to be ok.
