Because misery loves company doesn't it.
Currently severely depressed and going through a divorce, on Fluoxetine and awaiting talking therapy through the NHS.
The main thing that I'm struggling with at the moment is the sheer feeling of loneliness and isolation. Oh , and the huge gaping empty hole inside . Would anyone like to join me and we can support each other in finding ways to cope and pull through this awful feeling?!

Why are you posting on the Mental Health board if you have no empathy or understanding?

Fluoxetine is prozac under a different name. She is on medication

Hatty65 · 24/08/2024 14:03

@coldbroc

She is. She's on Fluoxetine. I don't think your comments are helpful to the OP.

They haven’t helped you show empathy or keep quiet when you don’t know what you are talking about.

i was asking a question

it might have been because the op was scared of them of skepticism and i wanted to reassure her and give her hope

but sure thing… knee jerk reaction and see shadows everywhere

i will leave you be @CeruleanDive

still waiting your advice for the op…

coldbroc · 24/08/2024 14:07

And what were you trying to do when you threw information about her relationship, from another thread, in her face?

None of your questions/comments has a shred of kindness or reassurance in them.

I've reported @coldbroc post. Unnecessarily brusque, you are talking to someone who is severely depressed please use an ounce of sense and show empathy

No worries. I was just clarifying 😊

@Whenwilligrowup One of the things I find really useful is to focus on gratitude. So, at bedtime I write down three things I am grateful for that day - these might be absolutely tiny.

Sometimes it can be enough to put 'I got through the day,' for eg. Or 'the sun shone'.

If you are going through a divorce, try to focus on the positives that will come from this. Write down all his bad points! All the things you could potentially do with your freedom. All the things you might be or do in the future. I've been where you are, and you will come out the other side.
