Coming off Sertraline

Has anybody recently ditched Sertraline?

The reasons I was taking it have gone so I’m giving it a go.

Feeling ok generally but having a few ‘zippy’ moments where I feel like I’m being electrocuted. Down to the smallest dose so just taking my medication once a day, once every 2 days as instructed. Just swapped to every two days and feel a bit weird, but accept it’s probably normal!

Hey there,
Good luck with reducing the dose, and keep following the advice that your doctors gave you.
I don't recall any side effects when I ditched it, but we all react differently.

If you have the time, can I suggest you watch Georgia Ede on Youtube, she discusses how to manage mental health issues using diet. The idea of the effect of diet on mental health can seem a bit out there at first, but currently our best explanation of depression is an imbalance or reduction in certain neurotransmitters, which drugs are supposed to help with. And, er... where do the neurotransmitters come from, oh, yeah they are made in the body from the food we eat, so why might they be imbalanced, oh maybe the body is not getting enough raw materials to make the required amount.

Again best of luck!
