My husband has always been a tense person, but lately he's feeling very burnt out

His work is quite stressful but I also think he's not great at dealing with stress. Job aside, everything is good although I feel like his moods and grouchiness are driving a bit of a wedge between us

He will get very angry with the kids about small things as his fuse is especially short at the moment, and he is often quite grumpy with me about not much at all

He feels like he's on the verge of a panic attack every so often, and overwhelmed

My friend has recently started taking escitalopram for anxiety and is saying how much better she feels. I was wondering if it might help my husband, but I'm concerned about side effects of coming on / off them, and maybe weight gain which I know my husband would hate

Would it help with his feelings of panic, and also with his anger and grumpiness? It's causing a lot of tension in the house

I'm just over a week into this medication, I've noticed a slight lift in my mood but it's still a really rocky road and still early days. I hope it helps your other half too ❤️
