If you went through an acute period of anxiety (not depression) did sertraline help you?

Hi

Due to a few factors, I’ve had back to back periods of acute anxiety, and now I’m going through a really bad patch. The GP has suggested sertraline, but I can’t decide whether to take it. If you had a similar story and took it, did it help you?

thank you xx

Yes. I developed awful anxiety when I hit menopause - never been an anxious person before. Sertraline changed my life. Side effects when I started were quite rough, not gonna lie. But once it settled down it really helped.

Thank you. What side effects in particular please? I’m due to go on holiday in a few weeks, not sure whether to start it before or when I get back.
