Mirtazapine after Escitolapram

Been changed to Mirtazapine just 2 months after being prescribed Escitolapram.
Escitolapram didn’t make much difference but did calm daily palpitations, made me quite sleepy also. After dr late renewing my prescription I just stopped taking them and didn’t have any symptoms of withdrawal.
Very against Mirtazapine as have spent the last year managing to lose a couple of stones after trying for many years and don’t want to take an appetite stimulant. Plus I sleep fine no issues so don’t need a sedating effect.
Anyone take either these for Panic Disorder or GAD?

I have taken both. Escitalopram lowered my sodium level too much. Swapped to mirtazipine . Felt drugged the whole time. Swapped again to Venlafaxine, put on 2 stone. Now on Duloxetine & tired again. Luckily we’re all different. Hope you are successful whichever one you end up on.

I’m in mirtazapine. I’m naturally on edge and don’t sleep, so it works for me. I’m not overweight either.

Mirtazipine was the first anti depressant which actually helped me. I eventually switched to duloxetine because, apart from weight gain, I experienced uncommon side effects. Some of the weight I gained fell off reallt quickly when I stopped it so I don't see any harm in trying it and seeing how you get on.
