Sorry things are hard at the moment. I am on antidepressants and still have very low moments. Some of the things that help are telling someone else, self care (bath), going outside and walking briskly while minutely observing my surroundings, chocolate, petting my cat and dog, holding a baby, swimming, hot chocolate, a thrilling book, cigarettes, coffee and sleep. Do you feel lonely? That can really bring me down. Hope you feel better soon.

How long have you been on citalopram? If you carry on feeling low, you should definitely talk to your doctor. It might not be right for you or you might need a higher dose.

Sorry to see you’re feeling so down OP. Is it anything in particular that’s driving it or just generally feeling low? I think music is a good mood lifter. And getting morning sunlight is important I think

Being kind to myself. Accepting that it is okay to feel low sometimes and realize that this will pass.
Listen to your feelings OP, why are you feeling this way? Is it a kind of grief for something you hoped for but has not turned out as you hoped? If so, allow yourself to grieve, accept your bad feelings. Every one has them from time to time. You are going to be OK. Be patient and compassionate with yourself.
