Mirtazapine/weight

I've put on 3st since starting mirtazapine earlier this year. I'm 5ft 4 so am now obese. I think my appetite has decreased but I'm eating rubbish. I wasn't sure where to put this question but has anyone managed to get some weight off while on this drug?

I only managed 3 days then had to stop as realised it would be counterproductive. Best sleep ever though. The only success I've had with weight loss is tracking and a small 250 calorie deficit a day for 2-3 months. I wouldn't go more than that or it becomes too soul destroying! Eventually the weight loss plateaus and that is the time to increase steps and physical activity.
