Just have to put this somewhere. Havent been to gym for ages, and exercise seems to really help my mood, have been really low recently. (am on anti ds)

I hurt my back a while ago and havent been to gym since, and my moods been going slowly down physio suspects its cos i havent been exercising and is keen to get me back to gym gently for the sake of my back and my mental health.

Last time I went back to exercise my back went in to spasm so am slighly nervous about the pain aspect but I KNOW I need to try this for my mental health.

Does anyone else find exercise affects thier mood this much?

My plan is walk to gym - 20-30 min its lovely sunshine woohoo. then physio says ive just to do 15 mins-30mins. but says shed prefer if i did 15min and enjoyed it than 30 and was in pain.

So just had to post saying I WILL do this today, so if I dont then you can all put me on the naughty step later x

Exercise is enormously beneficial to my overall attitude. I seem to remember someone saying that the body doesn't differentiate between a physical threat and a mental one (state of depression), so that the body is filled is stress induced chemicals. These are dispersed by exercise.

Could be rubbish but it made sense to me.

Have a nice gym visit x

Good for you. I need to get back into it as well after being off with ds's at half term. May go tonight.
