How to find a therapist?

Hi, I've come to the conclusion I need some therapy to help with my current moment in life. I'm divorcing and it's been so stressful. I want to start therapy so I can understand all my emotions and feelings and deal with it all as best as I can. Problem is I never been to therapy before so have no idea where to start. Can someone help me, please?

CBT is the therapy that's recommended by the NHS but TBH you'd be as well studying it, as the quality of therapists is...patchy. This is a really good course for becoming more self-aware;

You don't have to want to become a practitioner to take the course and at £14.99 for 31 hours of lectures it's a bargain!

Otherwise you could have a look at https://www.bacp.co.uk/ for someone local to you or you could have a read through my AMA on remedial hypnosis to see if that style of therapy would work for you.
