Switch from Escitalopram to Sertraline

Hi everyone. I am looking for success stories from people who have switched from escitalopram to sertraline. I had been taking Escitalopram for years but my psychiatrist told me to get on Sertraline (zoloft) as it is safer for pregnancy. I was taking 18 drops of escitalopram, my doctor made me taper quite fast from it and I am now on my 21st day of Zoloft (50mg). I am having very bad anxiety and I just need someone with my same experience to tell me it’s gonna be okay.

I had exactly the same and spoke to my GP who told me to continue as it seemed I was sensitive to sertraline so once I was stable on it I would get more benefit from it and he was right. It did take about 6 weeks for me to be settled on it but it is working wonders for me. Speak to your GP though and see if they have any advice.

Thank you summersolstice. I am really afraid 50mg might not be my right dose + I’m scared of upping it because of side effects. I just want to feel normal again
