How can I get them to leave me alone?

My care coordinator is away until July. Someone else just rang me, and was really pressurising me to talk, I just want to be left alone, but they are ringing back tomorrow too. What's the best way to get left alone? I can't talk to them.

I'm finding the same with my daughter, it's relentless all the people who want to contact her and force help on her. I think that being as clear and articulate as you can, writing down in advance what you want to say. Thanks for the offer, I don't feel ready to engage right now but maybe if you contact me again in three months it would be a better time. Try and let them see you're open to help just not now, and they might piss off. Feel better soon x

Ironically, the NHS MH services seem to only offer help when you don’t want it!
From my experience, it is best to engage with them a bit and try to convince them you are ok so they leave you alone. If you refuse to see them then they are more likely to go for an assessment under the MH act.

Well they've just rung and they're going to come and see me today, I'm scared, I don't want them in my flat.

Do you feel up to saying what you’re scared about if they visit?

I'm scared of them insisting on the crisis team, as that's usually what happens, or I get sectioned. Neither of which I want.

Do you feel up to talking to them and asking not to be put under the crisis team?

I'm going to say no to the crisis team if they suggest it, like I did recently.

Are you taking your medication?

I do hope you managed to talk with them today summer is a really difficult time to get time to through without the proper support . Please do help yourself and try to get through with the good help .
