Antidepressants and breastfeeding

Can anyone share their experience of being on antidepressants while breastfeeding. I have never had them before, but feel disconnected with everything at the moment. I dont have much time to myself and feel I would be able to get better without them if I did. I'm hoping they will be a quick fix if I'm honest.

I had mirtazapine, sertraline, citalopram and briefly venflaxine whilst breastfeeding without issues

Unfortunately my depression became treatment resistant. I'm bipolar and my depressions can be hard to treat and this was definitely the case with my pnd but this isn't typical so don't let it discourage you.

Are you under the perinatal team?

I’ve been on them for post natal illness. I was properly off the wall and they meant I was able to function. If the problem is lack of time to yourself then ADs won’t fix that though. My kids are fine though and they’re all teenagers, so I don’t think they’ve been harmed.
