Hello I'm wondering whether i should try a meds change? I've been on citalopram 40mg for many years and I'm thinking of trying sertraline. Has anyone taken both?

I'm 'OK' on citalopram generally but I always feel fairly fragile and can dip quite easily. Baseline is ok if nothing gets in a loop. Currently though I'm horribly anxious with random crying. I'm sad about small things I did wrong decades ago and feel really bad for times I failed my now adult children as babies. Just runaway thoughts really. I'm scared to change at the moment as I'm about to go through a major relocation and house move.

This is just my personal experience but I switched from citalopram which id been in for 10+ years to Setraline and I found the side effects of the Setraline horrible, much worse than when I started citalopram. So much so I came off them after a few months and switched to something else x

Hi, I'm about to change from taking citalopram for many years to fluotextine.
I've been much the same as you describe, coping till something goes wrong and then spiralling down. I briefly tried Setraline a few years ago and panicked because it was making me worse and went back to citalopram. How soon is your house move?
