Sertraline withdrawl

Does anyone have any idea on how many doses of Sertraline you'd have to miss to start withdrawal symptoms?

The drs messed up my prescription order. I'm usually on 50mg of sertraline but have missed two days. I picked up new tabs today but not taken one today as they used to give me insomnia so I'm worried about taking them too late.

Feeling really horrible this evening. Panicky, irritable, a bit sick. Any idea if this could be the start of withdrawl?

Hi @BabyAllergy101 I think it takes a few days to start coming out your system and get withdrawal symptoms. It’s difficult to say though as everyone’s different.

I also get worried about insomnia but you could always take half of a tablet just to ‘top yourself up’.

Otherwise just take one tomorrow and be extra kind to yourself tonight if you feel a bit wobbly.

Thanks, this is super helpful. Im worried there will be a lag before it starts helping again.

At least it's confirmed to me that it was a excellent decision to start on these meds, I've always questioned that choice until now!

Yes that is so true - I found it massively helpful in quite a subtle way. Just helps me bounce back a bit quicker.

I always try and keep an emergency sertraline held back as I’ve had a lot of occasions of running out/struggling to find them!
