Sertraline and nausea

Started 25mg as a half dose as read this lessened the side effects. Started getting some mild nausea and lost my appetite but it’s getting worse - currently awake at 5am because I feel really sick. It’s only been a week and a half and now I’m scared to increase to 50mg - should I carry on as is and wait for nausea to hopefully subside and then increase?

I would increase to 50 after two weeks it will be a little worse but not as bad as starting on the 25 mg. I have had to go on to Sertraline a few times over the years and it is absolutley awful for the first two weeks but I promise it is worth riding it out for the benefits when it calms down and life becomes more beautiful again 💕

I had dreadful nausea with Sertraline. My GP advised me to stick with it but it got worse and I was admitted to hospital. As soon as I stopped taking it I recovered. I’m now on Mirtazapine which suits me.

If you feel that bad, I would ask to try a different drug.

Can I ask, how did you get on with starting on 25 and upping your dose? I’ve been on 50mg for 2 days now and the side effects (mainly the jaw clenching and nausea) is driving me mad! I’m debating taking half a tablet for a week and then increasing in hope I don’t suffer as bad x
