Sertraline 9 days

Can the body become dependent on sertraline after 9 days? I'm on
anti cancer drugs and letrozole and have decided I don't want to take any more drugs at this moment in time. I originally went on it for anxiety.

Thanks.

That didn't come out right.
I want to stop sertraline, which I've been on for 9 days. Do I need to wean myself off, or can I just stop?

GP appointment next Friday to discuss a beta blocker or something, for anxiety.

I might on on the same drugs as you. I take Sertraline too. What dose are you on? There’s sometimes a starter dose. I would never just stop and would always wean myself off. You might as well talk to your GP about it, though.

@Dewdilly thanks
I'm on 25mg, half a tablet.
I thought of taking 12mg tonight, but I don't know. Will have to speak to GP as you say.

I’m on 50, and I was told that was a starter dose, hardly even effective, and very low.

Ah, so 25 is really really low then? Do you feel any benefit on 50?

I wouldn't worry about dependency after 9 days on 25mg, it takes a good few months for sertraline to reach a therapeutic dose

@olivebranch31 thanks. Just needed a little reassurance. I'm getting in a right fix with all these drugs.
