Everything going wrong today...trying to cope

Venting a bit and maybe need a handhold after a set of bad news...

I heard today that the company I work for part-time is not doing too well and has to cut down on team budgets so I am worried about potential redundancies.

I usually received PIP every month (basic award for daily living and mobility) for my long term mental and health issues.

Had a mandatory review after 3 years and received a text to say the claim was assessed on 11th March. I have heard nothing back but it looks like they have removed the daily component of my award although my condition has got worse.

They did that out of the blue although 3 years ago the tribunal had given me a PIP award until 25th May so the full award should have continued until then while I appealed. They have also failed to send me any letter to explained what is happening, why they reach that decision and how I can appeal.

My mental health is really fragile and (trigger warning) I even made an attempt on my life in September when I reached crisis point so I am really upset that my financial situation could suddenly be at risk.

On the phone to the DWP and of course I have been on hold for ages. I really don't know why they enjoy torturing people with mental health issues like this.

I am doing my best to find a new job but I am so tired of having to struggle for everything every day.

So sorry to hear your struggling @Startingagainandagain are u on any medication or receiving any help after your crisis in September? Would it be worth going back to your gp to discuss how you are feeling now before you reach crisis point again? X
