My mood is definitely up. I'm struggling to focus and concentrate. Can't settle to anything. Spoke to my psychiatrist Thursday and we altered my meds - I have bipolar. Got another review on Thursday.

I've no idea what to do about work. Do I go in? I'm not to unwell to work. I just don't know what to do.

Do work know you have bipolar?

Yes, they know.

That’s great, what about explaining the situation to them and see what they think. Assuming you’re safe to drive, assuming you drive.

it all depends what your job entails and how high your mood is, how long it usually lasts, and how it impacts you and others around you.

for example, I would talk loads but I would probably be more productive by getting lots done really quickly, depending on how high I was

With your work if you get manic can you cause any harm? Eg transfer money to wrong people

That sounds like a good plan. I hate not being able to trust my own thoughts.

In that case they will understand. If they already know I’m sure they will appreciate you explaining what’s gone on and how you feel. They might be able to suggest something eg work behind the scenes or maybe to take it off as sick.

Thanks for the support. It's not always easy.

That’s ok, you’re very welcome…. Sometimes it just takes someone else just to nudge you into rational thought.

i remember when i started on Quietiapine my mood went up but it only lasted a day. It might be something like that if you’re adjusting to meds.
good luck with work and the meds, hope you get it sorted.
