I had a panic attack earlier

Haven't had one for ages! Was on medication up until recently for health anxiety but I came off it as felt in a much better place.

The panic attack I had earlier was horrible, it's the first I've had while I've been stood up. To contextualise it, my DF was scammed out of a large sum of money 3 years ago so we do monitor him. I have alerts on their property (and ours) set up with land registry and had a notification an application had been submitted. Naturally I thought the worst. The solicitor listed on the application is hours away from us, wouldn't tell me or my parents anything and said there was an application and they would tell us more 'on Thursday'. Knowing the circumstances with my DF, I honestly thought the scamming was happening again. My blood ran cold, I became anxious and the worst bit was my feet went FREEZING and I had the worst pins and needles in my toes ever and they turned white! While on the phone to a solicitor I had my feet in a bowl of hot water and when I was drying them, I watched the side of my big toes turn blue/purple, then after about five minutes they turned back to normal colour, the pins and needles slowly subsided and they felt warm again. I felt so anxious worrying still. Thankfully, half an hour later we got answers and everything explained and it was a nothing to worry about. The anxiety has subsided now, but for a short time my health anxiety kicked in again and I started to worry about my heart (which is what my HA focused on for a time), but now I'm calm, I know that what I experienced was because of the panic attack.

I'm now laid in bed, reading, browsing MN and watching Horrid Henry with my DDs while dh is in the bath.

I find when I've had a panic attack I ramble on, so I do apologise! I just need to talk myself down. I just wondered what everyone else experiences/has experienced when having a panic attack?

Sorry I've never personally experienced a panic attack quite as physical as that. It must have been very scary for you!
When I get a panic attack I'm normally sweating, racing heart, the thoughts in my head are going 100 mph and normally I'm inconsolable until I feel safe again. It is weird how panic attacks effect everyone differently!
I hope you feel better and more calm now x

It really is! It's so strange the sensations people get and the way they come on. I hope yours are few and far between! I am thank you x
