Sick note delay SOS! / Vent

Hi all,
Was just wondering if anyone had ever had a problem getting a sick note whilst on Universal Credit, basically I had a mental health breakdown last week and have had to take time off from searching for work to recover. I contacted my GP on Monday morning requesting a sick note but it still hasn't come through and every time I've called they've said it's in progress, a very frustrating situation for anyone who already suffers from severe anxiety! I sympathize with doctors/nurses and pharmacists HUGELY as I'm aware they have a busy workload/ unreliable schedules/ do an amazing incredible job etc but I was wondering if anyone else had been in the same boat.

I appreciate the stress but sick notes can (and will) be backdated to the date you need it from. Universal credit will be aware of the process and should be understanding.

Hopefully it will be with you asap and you can get things sorted
