Taking time off with stress

I recently had a bit of a meltdown following a stressful time at work. I think had I not experienced physical symptoms of burnout such as sickness, fatigue, muscle aches and migraines, I would have continued running myself into the ground. I've now been signed off work but want to know how best to try to recover. I know rest is the key thing but how should you rest? I want to minimise the time off I'm taking by trying to heal during this period. Is routine helpful? Sleep? Exercise? What should a typical day look like?

Meditation, mindfulness, mild gentle exercises like yoga or walking on a daily basis, reading, as much sleep as you can manage, long baths, writing/journalling, creative hobbies like gardening, jigsaw puzzles, drawing, adult colouring in, - whatever you're into.

It's about doing nice lowish energy things. I spent the first couple of days in bed watching boxsets and napping so I didn't have to engage my brain, but that might not be for you. I remember going for a cocktail (almost never drink!) And cinema with my DH, then went for walks in the woods and seeing friends.
