Hey there everyone!

Going to keep this brief as possible..Basically i was sectioned for 28 days by my Doctor because my med weren't working..I has asked to be brought in for over a year because i was so ill,,the 28 days past and a further 6 month section was agreed by 2 Doctors that it would be best for me..

I am schizophrenic and have polydipsia..This is my first weekend away for 6 weeks and it has been good for me to get back to reality..The Psychiatrist said i will be out by mid March if everything is going ok,,and am not drinking too much..

Can i sign myself out because the patients are really making me ill with all there issues,,screaming and shouting and name calling..I feel ready to move back here but this Psychiatrist has it in their mind that i'd be better in supported accomodation ..

Any help with this would be much appreciated folk feel like am going back down hill in that place,,

Cheers...

OP, note my reply only applies if you're in England or Wales - if you're in a different jurisdiction, the legislation is likely different. Also, IANAL
Firstly, well done on the progress you've made so far!
If you're sectioned (on a section 3, I'd guess) and currently on section 17 leave, you can't just sign yourself out. It sounds like you're finding the noise very difficult. When you return to hospital from your leave, ask to talk to your responsible clinician. Tell them what you have told us, and ask whether they would be willing to discharge you. If they are not, ask to see an independent mental health advocate to discuss appealing your section. Let us know how you get on.
