DC was on 200mg sertraline but had to come off and has been told to restart with 100mg tomorrow and 200mg the day after. What can we expect in terms of readjustment to this please?

How long has she been off of it? I get brain zaps if I miss a day.

Thanks @FlappyFish DC has been off it for 5 days.

I’d query it with the doctor. That is a large dose (I’m on 200mg too) and whilst I’m sure increasing it doesn’t have the same side effects as decreasing it’s normally staggered more than that I think. I went up from 50mg to 100mg then 150mg over the course of a few weeks many years back. It’s a lot to add to the system in one go.

I hooe someone else can respond and give their experience. Mine was done my a psychiatrist as an in patient nearly a decade ago now.

Thanks @FlappyFish it is the Psychiatrist who has said to resume at 100 today and then 200 from tomorrow. Just keen to know if it will cause the symptoms experienced when it was first prescribed.
