Sleep disturbances

I had a few nights in a row when I would wake up and would still be living through the dream. The other night I thought someone was calling me from the outside and I opened the window to have a look, then a couple of seconds later I realised it was a dream. This past night I woke up trying to figure out something about the light on the wall, feeling confused, again realising it was a dream.
What is it called? Sleepwalking? It is so annoying that I do not look forward to falling asleep...
I know it is probably anxiety driven. Any advice how to deal with it?

What's causing the anxiety? Deal with that and your sleep will resolve itself.

@Eyesopenwideawake it is mostly generalised anxiety + I've started a new job...

OK, so the new job will have unsettled your subconscious mind (even if you're loving it) so it'll be processing all the new stuff you've absorbed during the day at night. Dreams can't hurt you so if you can accept that this will just happen for a while then they will settle down far faster than if you stress about it.

@Eyesopenwideawake Those dreams are hurting me in a way... I wake up in the middle of the dream feeling that I need to take an action, being anxious because of that - this is all quite real. It takes a minute or so to realise it was a dream and I just need to go back to sleep, but that anxiety in the middle of the night is very unpleasant and unsettling. When I wake up in the morning I cannot shake it off...
