Can someone please help me, or advise me! I'm struggling here!
I've been suffering pain within the stomach and side, I've had a scan and stuff nothing has been found, and now I've noticed when I up in the morning that's the first thing I'm think about, do I have stomach pain today is it there? I'm searching for it all day, I'm obsessing over it, pressing see if it's there, hot water helps, not eating properly, I'm a right mess! Could this be in my head!

Yes, it could. And, if you think about it, that's good news - there's nothing sinister going on otherwise the doctors would have found it.

When we focus on something physical it's as though we're looking at a bug under a microscope; it appears huge, scary and completely overwhelming. If however you take the microscope away and look at in perspective, it is just a tiny little insect which can't do us any harm.

Because you're 'obsessing' about this, it's become all encompassing and - as a result - any slightly odd feeling, or burp, will become proof that there's something seriously wrong when, in fact, it's just your stomach doing it's thing.

Do you think you can start to stop looking for pain, stop searching and pressing? Can you distract yourself with work or hobbies? If you can you will quickly find that the everyday workings of your body will carry on exactly as they are supposed to.

Is it pain as in sick tummy kind of thing, or sore to the touch? Does it seem like nerves or Does it come after certain foods? What did they say/ think?

I had that with anxiety - worst pain you could ever imagine, I could barely breathe. All in my head.

Are you under a lot of stress at the moment? I’ve had a very stressful few months and am now having tummy issues, it’s related I think.

Yea very stressed! And anxiety is terrible, I've now got blood in my poo since yesterday, doctors told me keep an eye for a week and go back, it always on and on! I can't keep my mind on something positive
