I’m not making myself sick but I do restrict and I have for years and years - forever actually. It’s normal for me and I rarely feel hungry.
Over Christmas I thought I ate more than normal and felt huge - didn’t weigh myself. I still feel
huge now so I gritted my teeth and weighed myself today. My partner kept saying I looked thinner but I definitely don’t feel it.
ive actually lost 4lbs. BMI sits at 18.
I’m 40 so I’m aware that a bmi this low isn’t necessarily a good thing - but I still feel huge.

I think it’s tipped from disordered eating to eating disorder. Do I bother a GP about it?

You won't be bothering them, so yes.

Please do seek help, it's great that you've recognised you need it and if it's grown then you don't want to leave it to continue to do so unchecked.

I think when you don't each much your stomach does shrink so that you don't actually feel hungry very much.

Yes think you should probably get help. It’s not good if you are starving your body of the nutrients it needs.
