Medication to help insomnia?

Can anyone recommend prescription medication which has helped them with insomnia please? I’m currently only taking Citalopram for depression but struggling to sleep more than 5 hours per night (usually mainly between 2am and 9am as I am on sick leave so no real structure to my days).
Seeing my psychiatrist this week so I’d like some suggestions before asking him for something to help me sleep.
Thanks.

Do you try and get fresh air and exercise? Try setting an alarm for 7.30 even if you haven't had much sleep, try and keep some structure to your day.
You may need to do more to make sure you are tired at an earlier time. Sleeping 2am-9am is 7 hours so a normal amount of sleep.
I would try other things before taking more medication.

Just seen you are getting 5 hours sleep, sorry. This might be all the sleep you need if you are inactive during the day.
Could you try melatonin to get your sleep into a more regular pattern?

I have used zopiclone before for a short period, as well as diazepam. I currently take a sedating antidepressant (trazodone) and also have melatonin prescribed by my psychiatrist.

I get Kirkland's Sleep Aid; it's very effective, I only take a half.
